What is Hybrid SPC?
SPC stands for Stone Plastic Composite. The core of the board is limestone powder blended with PVC and stabilisers, compressed under heat into a dense, rigid plank. That stone content is what separates it from ordinary vinyl.
Because the core is mineral rather than wood, it does not absorb water, swell, warp or cup. It stays dimensionally stable through temperature change — which matters in Australian conditions, where a sunroom in the north and a cold slab in the south sit at opposite extremes.
"Hybrid" refers to a floating click-lock system with the acoustic underlay bonded to the board at manufacture. No adhesive, no separate underlay, no wet trades. It clicks together over a prepared subfloor and can be walked on the same day.
Five-layer construction — 6.5 mm total
- UV protective coating — resists scuffing, staining and UV degradation
- Enhanced polymer wear layer, 0.5 mm — the working surface. Its thickness determines how long the floor lasts, and it is the number to compare between products
- PVC decorative layer — high-definition print, registered to the surface emboss
- SPC rigid core, 5.0 mm — dense, non-absorbent, dimensionally stable
- IXPE acoustic underlay, 1.5 mm — factory bonded. Reduces impact noise and removes a separate install step

- Kenai Oak — EIR Embossed. Warm neutral oak with fine linear grain
- Tok Oak — EIR Embossed. Cool mid-grey oak with subtle movement
- Cachan Oak — Wood Embossed. Pale sand oak with restrained figuring
- Homer Oak — Wood Embossed. Rich honey oak with warm amber undertones
Scotia beading — matched to every colourway
Scotia is the concave quarter-round moulding that finishes the perimeter of a floating floor. Because SPC expands and contracts with temperature, an expansion gap is left at every wall so the floor can move — Scotia covers that gap.
It pins to the skirting board, never to the floor. Beading sourced separately is almost never an exact match, and that mismatch runs around every wall in the room. TitanCore Scotia is produced to match each colourway and ships on the same pallet as the floor.

Installation
Floating click-lock system, no adhesive required. Product must acclimatise a minimum of 48 hours at normal room temperature before installation — this is a condition of warranty. Leave the required expansion gap at all walls and fix Scotia to the skirting, never to the floor.
